RODESCHINI Mouthpieces
In 2020 I started to develop new Mouthpieces for my collegues trumpet and horn players. My aim is to have more reliablity and efficiency with the hours rehearsing and developping our highest skills.
The following models are available
in one piece or with screw rim.
for TRUMPET:
- S
this mouthpiece brings a correction of the 6th partial. It lowers the well known sharpness of the F and G by Bach Stradivarius trumpets.
- O
The same that the modell S but with more volume
- R and there variations R1, R2 and R3
A big cup, but still in U shape. Bringing a good solution for musicians playing rotary trumpets. Lots of volume AND more control to the sound colors than with the more common V shaped mouthpieces
- 15E and there relatives 15ES, 15E1, 15E2 and 15E3
variations on a big standard for the rotary trumpet
- 16E
my evolution of this very powerful mouthpiece, going for more control and more projection
- G2
starting with the forms of a very old G2 and aiming for better efficiency
- A and C models
A-llround and C-larino solutions for the baroque trumpet
for PICCOLO TRUMPET
and also suits SOPRANO CORNET:
- P1
An evolution of a MtVernon 10-1/2C Cornet Mouthpiece. Pleasant big sound, quite astonishing when compared to the small Volume of the cup.
Available for both cornet or trumpet shanks
- P2
Another copy of an old MtVernon 10-1/2C. This one originaly for trumpet. More power and ease in the extreme high register. The fifths are pushed a little higher in the Intonation. Correcting some well known difficulties of our Piccolo trumpets.
Available for both type of shanks, cornet or trumpet
- P3
A very comfortable compromise of size for the orchestral trumpet player. Not too small, and still supportive.
for CORNET:
- 4.5 and 4.6
Brass Band suited. Rich. Between B and „no letter“ cups. I worked on it with two ideas: Giving the projection that often miss to the cornet. and bringing the 6th partial a little higher, what helps the traditional Brass Band cornets (Besson Sovereign, Prestige, Geneva and the diverse Yamaha top models) to respond through the whole range more linearly, caring for precision of playing
- V
starting on an old american mouthpiece of the 19th century. Extending to a bigger flexibility to the sound and having a better response to aim for a wide range of dynamics. Best suited for the classical player
- CC
based on a Boosey Soprano cornet mouthpiece of the beginning of the 20th century. Amplificating it magnificient flexibility in sound and range
for HORN:
- de Abreu
V shaped, best suited to fit the Alexander Horn, giving more room for expression and lots of power for the orchestral musician. Available in different Rim sizes. Mostly with the well known Schmidt 11 and Bach 3 Rims
- SB10
An evolution based on my 11HD de Abreu. Special ease for the high Register and for very loud excerpts
- N
for the natural Horn. but also a solution for easier playing
